The practice

About Niume

Niume is a medical-led skin, aesthetics and wellness clinic in Manchester. Clinical training sits behind every decision, and there is time in each appointment to work out what is actually happening with your skin.

What shapes the practice is the background of the person who built it, and an approach that treats skin as connected to the rest of your health rather than separate from it.

Her story

How I Came to Be Here

I am a pharmacist and aesthetic practitioner, driven by a personal journey that has shaped my perspective on skincare and aesthetics. A deep-rooted family history of acne ignited my passion for skin health, and compelled me to help others overcome their own skin challenges. That journey led me into skin and body rejuvenation.

Many people are held back from living joyful and fulfilled lives by their struggles with skin and self-image. My practice draws directly on my family's experiences, and it goes further than traditional skincare.

Recognising the profound physical and psychological impact of skin conditions, I look closely at the connection between skin health and emotional wellbeing. That is why I incorporate psychodermatology into my treatments.

The mind and the skin

Why I Practise Psychodermatology

Psychodermatology is the treatment of skin disorders by addressing the interaction between the mind and the skin. Stress, for example, can raise cortisol levels, which accelerates oil production and can worsen acne. Stress-induced sleep disturbance can leave skin dehydrated.

The skin responds to emotional and environmental stressors, and part of my work is helping to manage those responses rather than treating only what appears on the surface.

Where I focus

Areas of Expertise

Acne & acne scarring

The concern that began my career. A deep-rooted family history of acne is what led me into skin health in the first place.

Psychodermatology

Treating skin disorders by addressing the interaction between the mind and the skin, rather than the surface alone.

Nutrition & gut health

The connection between digestive health and skin conditions, which I pursued through a further certification in nutrition.

Skin & body rejuvenation

The rejuvenation practice that grew out of that foundation, delivered with the same integrative approach.

How I work

Treatment Philosophy

Integrative

I work across nutrition, skincare ingredients and psychodermatology together. People with skin issues need practitioners who understand why an integrative approach matters, because that is what produces sustainable results.

Holistic

I realised that some treatments offer temporary relief without addressing the root cause. My consultations consider nutrition, lifestyle and other factors, with long-term skin wellness as the goal.

Collaborative

I build a toolbox of resources for each client. I recognise that I may not be the right fit for everyone, so I work with trusted colleagues to make sure people receive the care that suits them.

Educational

Empowering clients through education is vital. Resources, articles and conversation expand what people know, so they can make informed decisions and take an active role in their own skin wellness.

What I teach clients

What I Want You To Understand

Skin is rarely about one thing. These are the areas I return to most often with clients, because understanding them is what makes a treatment plan hold.

  • Nutrition basicsThe direct influence of nutrition on skin health.
  • Stress & your skinHow stress affects the way skin behaves.
  • Hormones & skin healthThe role hormones play in achieving glowing skin.
  • Lifestyle practicesHow sleep, exercise and environment influence skin health.
  • Emotions & mindsetThe connection between emotions, thoughts and skin health.
  • Products & ingredientsThe influence of topical and internal products and treatments.
  • Gut health & digestionThe impact of digestion and the gut microbiome on the skin.

My belief is that true beauty radiates from within. My treatments are intended not only to enhance appearance but to nurture self-confidence, guiding clients towards healthier skin and greater confidence in themselves.
